Determination of nitrate content in drinking water: A survey of Bama Local Government Area, Borno State, Nigeria

Abstract

 The level of nitrate in the drinking water of Bama Local Government Area of Borno State, Nigeria has been investigated.  None of the water sources studied had nitrate levels above acceptable limits. The study includes samples from deep boreholes, shallow wells, and running streams. The nitrate level of the stored water samples was found to decrease with time.
